I’ve already guessed, but it might be a guy whose first name was Lefty.
As suggested by Prof P, I am William Orville “Lefty” F rizzell , singer of six #1 country songs including “If You’ve Got the Money (I’ve Got the Time)” and “Saginaw, Michigan”, as well as over a dozen other songs that placed in the top ten on the country charts.
