IQ: Did you repurpose a Philippines weapon into a beloved toy?
IQ: Were you the leader of a sect in Waco, Texas?
Yes, David Sedaris is great! I’ve seen him live on stage three times, and don’t even read his books anymore - I always get his audiobooks, because his delivery is (more than) half the fun. You can hear him do his Billie Holiday impersonation (singing “Away in a Manger”) in the short story “SantaLand Diaries.”
IQ: Did you refuse to trim or remove your mustache when told it might help you with the legislature?
Not Mr. Duncan, and his famous yo-yo
Not David Koresh
Never heard this story- ask a DQ
:smack: Moot anyway!
Dean Acheson, President Truman’s Secretary of State, had an imperious manner and an impressive mustache, and was told that he wouldn’t irritate Capitol Hill Republicans quite so much if he trimmed it or shaved it off. He declined: http://ecx.images-amazon.com/images/I/51MMS226VDL.jpg
DQ: Businessman?
IQ: Did you half-joke that Winston Churchill “would skin his own mother to make a drum with which to beat his own praises”?
Not a businessman.
I hadn’t heard the Chuchill quote, so take another DQ.

Dang! I thought I might have had you on that one!
IQ: Have you become an outstanding example of peaceful transition of leadership throughout the ages?
Not… the Dalai Lama? (If that’s not what you had in mind, take a DQ)
British WWI Prime Minister David Lloyd George.
DQ: Most famous before 1970?
IQ: Did you write The Breaker, a novel about the famous/notorious Australian soldier Harry “Breaker” Morant, later made into a movie?
Yes, I was most famous before 1970… though, oddly, I didn’t actually DO anything newsworthy until AFTER 1970

- My fame was at its peak before 1970… but I didn’t actually DO anything newsworthy until after 1970!
As for Breaker Morant… I saw the movie, but don’t know who wrote the book, Take a DQ.
Are you a Nobel Laureate?
I don’t remember if you have a DQ coming or if this is an IQ.
If it’s an IQ, then… no, I’m not Dario Fo.
If it’s a DQ, let me know and I’ll answer it yes or no.
IQ: Are you the main villain of several animated racing-related shows?
