My shot in the dark and FirstName LastName question:

Are you Myron Laramie (sp?) played by Sinbad in Jingle All The Way?

Someone more familiar with 90s Christmas movies (or Elf, if it’s Elf) than I will have to take this one. Can’t be The Santa Clause, that’s a series.

I can only think of Elf and,The Ref - which is definitely R rated.

I am not.

Please ask all earned DQs by noon EDST tomorrow.

Right, then. Please ask all earned “Are you Firstname Lastname?” questions by noon EDST on New Year’s Day.

I never saw Bad Santa, but that might fit the timeframe.

Happy new year woo woo woo

(Final post of the year. I still don’t know who it is.)

Not a clue.

Happy New Year!

I am, in fact,

Victor Landberg

the scheming, Santa-denying department store magnate and bad guy in the 1994 remake of Miracle on 34th Street.

Ah. I saw that one once, and I’m not sure I made it all the way through. I’ll go with Edmund Gwenn as Santa. But I did see it, and I remember they added a villainous character, but I would never have come up with the name.

I don’t think I’ve ever seen the 1994 remake of Miracle on 34th Street, so I’d never have gotten that one.

Happy New Year, all!

Likewise.

Should I start a new thread for January, or is that character unknown-enough that the previous winner should go?

There’s still kitap and DLR to hear from.

I didn’t even know there’d been a remake.

Here’s the trailer; Landberg (boo! hiss!) appears at 1:49: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=leDD6Y-Nyqg

I have not seen nor would be able to tell you the characters in, aside from Claus, either version of Miracle on 34th Street.
