There is a DQ that is frequently asked, but hasn’t been asked in this round. It could be important.

Can’t figure out who this is. I yield my four reserved DQs, one per customer.

All I can think.is Sam Walton and we know that’s wrong.

I’ll wait for more replies until Monday noon CST.

One of @Elendil_s_Heir 's DQs: Publisher?

DQ1: Enterprise involved food/drink?
DQ2: Died of natural causes (ie, not murder, accident, &c)?

If anyone wants to guess First Name/Last Name go ahead.

Still stumped.

Wait! What was the name of the guy who published MAD? William something?

Gaines. If not for the last initial, I’d have already guessed him.

Dammit! I erred with the last name clue.

It’s William Gaines. @SunUp you win. My apologies for the screw up.

Well, that was… unexpected.

My wife asked me when we were in NYC a year and a half ago why we were walking up Madison Avenue from 34th Street. I had to tell her that there was no way I was going to leave Manhattan without a selfie in front of 485 MADison Avenue.

I think I was the last to host. If no one minds a break with protocol, I’d like to turn over host duties to @kitap since they asked the question that yielded the solution.

And of course, new month, new thread!

Answers 23&24 had me convinced it was the publisher of Reader’s Digest - William Roy DeWitt Wallace. Not that I knew him off hand, had to look up in Wiki who published RD. Believe it or not, died in 1981, so that still filled requirements… Oops, no it wouldn’t. Missed 16. Still, pretty damned close.

Thread started.
