IQ: Are you an author whose first name and last name are identical?

Stan Rogers was a Canadian folk-singer/songwriter who was killed in a plane crash in the 1980s, perhaps best known for his song ‘Barett’s Privateers’. In another a capella song, also quite well known, the chorus goes ‘Ah, for just one time I would take the North-West Passage/To find the hand of Franklin reaching for the Beaufort Sea/Tracing one warm line through a land so wild and savage/And make a North-West Passage to the sea.’ The Franklin referred to is Sir John Franklin, who died trying to discover the sea-route that would link the Atlantic and Pacific oceans via the Arctic Ocean.

DQ: Are you a fictional character who originally appeared in a novel?

Don’t know this one- ask a DQ

You missed this IQ from earlier: Do both you and your best friend have names related to your jobs?

And a twofer: Was your most famous novel made into a film where the actor in the title role has a name similar in nature to his character? And, are you said actor?

Never read any Tom Brown books and never saw the movie. Ask a DQ.
