Botticelli, July 2023

So 50’s-60’s britcoms. Which means first year Monty Python or something before that. I don’t recall any animals on python with last names (I think the dead parrot was called polly), and don’t know many BBC shows before that. So I’m pretty well stumped.

The dead parrot was Polly Parrot. Buck, you might just want to guess that.

OK first name last name “Polly Parrot” with a big help from the Professor.

Yep. Think Buck’s got it.

The Dead Parrot sketch was redone for the Pythons greatest-hits/introduction-to-America film And Now For Something Completely Different, so item #6 checks out.

Yes, indeed, I am the late Norwegian Blue

Well done, Buck!

Congratulations, Buck Godot! I’d never have come up with that name. And equal congrats Elendil’s Heir on a really clever entry.

Thanks all. Again I think this is really a shared win with @Prof.Pepperwinkle, since I didn’t know the parrot had a last name. But the vox populi seems to be giving it to me. So I’ll accept the nomination and come up with a new letter sometime tonight.

Start a new August thread when you do, please, Buck.
