If it’s something that only a few people in a field use, but still might be used by them, even if there are newer inventions, say “yes” (example: vacuum tube, a specific pigment of oil paint, aspirin). I’d say “No” if it’s been superseded - “no” examples might be a slide rule, polio inoculation [as opposed to vaccine]. If it’s something that, in its time was widely used but is obsolete or now only used by a handful of people, then “no” (e.g. the typewriter, rotary phone).
Your call if it’s somewhere in between (e.g. out of fashion but still usable, or it’s evolved into a nearly unrecognizable form).
