No, I’m not Hobbes (neither the philosopher nor the tiger).

Dunno as to this, but that’s all the DQs available.

Sorry, Tom Scud, you didn’t have the chance to ask a DQ after all.

Shall I tell you all the answer now?

AKA the other Jeffrey Lebowski, the millionaire.

IQ - did you once pitch a perfect game and a third?

A rules question here - if it’s one initial, in this case “H”, should it be the initial for the last name only?

You’d have to ask that as DQ. Tom Scud, I’ll let you do it, if you like.

Oh, sure, given that you’re not Harry Houdini (who had a story ghost-written by Howard Phillip Lovecraft - woo, two-fer), is it your first or your last name (or both) that starts with H?

IQ: Is your real name Arnold Dorsey?

Tell you what. I’ve won, but I’ll let everyone who has asked me a DQ thus far ask me an additional DQ as to a specific name that fits all the clues above. If, after 48 hours, no one’s successfully guessed who I’m thinking of, I’ll start the next round.

And… go!

You didn’t address my question.

Twenty DQs had been asked by then, the most I was obliged to answer, so there was no point in doing so. I let Tom Scud ask a 21st DQ because he’d earned one earlier and I’d said he could ask one before I realized the 20th had already been earned and asked (I always try to answer in order of being asked - first come, first served). Sorry.

I got no clue. Giving only the first name initial makes it overly tough for only twenty DQs.

Are you Howard Hawks?

My guess : Are you Admiral Hyman Rickover?

My primary candidates were Harry Houdini and Henry Ford, and neither fits the whole set of questions.

Reorganizing in case it helps anyone else (I’m still drawing a blank).

With all those "not"s, I’d guess we’re talking about an industrialist or businessman, but I can’t think of anyone who fits.

All good, my mistake.
What about my rules question? Botticelli was a staple of family car rides when I was growing up, and we played last initial, so I’m wondering if in this version the initial can apply to either.

I just thought of someone who died in 1967 (I didn’t realize he made it that far until I looked him up). Since I don’t have a DQ coming, I’ll put the name in a spoiler box:

Henry J. Kaiser

I was asked about people with the first initial H almost from the outset.

No, I’m not Howard Hawks.

I was already asked about him, wasn’t I? No, I’m not Adm. Rickover.

I was already asked about both, and it’s neither of them anyway.
