Did you charge Pickett? (And are you sure you are at least as famous as Botticelli?)

Are you the William Henry Harrison of popes? By the way, I’ve already asked this question once before!

Were you one of the leaders of Pickett’s Charge?

Were you a South Carolinian opposed to secession?

With Pickett. Did you charge with Pickett. :smack:

Yes, I am Johnston Pettigrew. CSA General who commanded one of the threedivisions of Pickett’s Charge. And well, I think Gen. Pettigrew qualifies, since this game was shorter than the Jaime Lannister game.

Congratulations Wooden Taco .

Hey, c’mon. Lannister appears in a series of New York Times-bestselling books. 'Way more people know about Lannister than know about Pettigrew… and I say that as a Civil War buff!

Well, it only took about 70 posts to get Pettigrew. Seems like it wasn’t THAT difficult. But, if you disagree, then what can I do?

BTW, did you know that George Lazenbyplayed Pettigrew in the movie Gettysburg? Yup, old 007 himself. So, Rd 20 to Wooden Taco.

Can I carry my DQ over to the next round?

The person I meant was John Phillips, who sang “all the leaves are brown/ and the sky is gray” as a member of the Mamas & the Papas.

I’m just teasing, Wargamer. We did benefit from some good DQs, though. New round: http://boards.straightdope.com/sdmb/showthread.php?p=9888187

This was James Petigru, incidentally. He noted that the Palmetto State was “too small to be a republic and too large to be an insane asylum.”
