Botticelli -- Round 12

That was who I meant.

Are you famous for writing a diary during the American Civil War?

Kid A and Darryl Lict still get DQs from earlier.

I have to leave the office and commute home in about 20 minutes. I’m not sure when I’ll get to log back in, but I will try some time this evening. (Assuming no correct guess in the next 20 minutes).

No, and I don’t know who you mean.

Mary Chesnut.

Are you primarily known for movies that feature dialogue in a language other than English?

I was Margaret Cho…so no DQ for me.

I think that’s what we’ve done in the past.

Yes, most of my movies are non-English language.
MC is:[ul]
[li]not male[/li][li]not American[/li][li]is alive[/li][li]is not Eurpoean[/li][li]is an entertainer[/li][li]not best known for being a musician[/li][li]is younger than 50[/li][li]is an actress[/li][li]is Asian[/li][li]not really considered a martial artist[/li][li]has acted primarily in movies that were not filmed in English[/li][/ul]

Well, I answered wargamer fist b/c I knew the answer, but you actually asked about Cho first (I didn’t recognize her from your clue) so I’m not sure what the rules would say.

I’ve got to go. I think y’all are very very close!

Apropos to the Dope, are you a maker of pie? Marie Calender.

DQ: Are you Chinese?

Were you the first Asian female to win a prize at the Cannes Film Festival?

Damn it, I know what your first name is, three of the letters in your last name is, but I’m not sure what movies I’ve seen you in. I can’t make a definitive IQ without googling, so I’ll leave it to a cinephile.

Have you acted with both Jackie Chan and Jet Li?

I think Darryl Lict and glee were on the right track, but Sternvogel got it first. I am indeed Maggie Cheung.

Maggie Cheung is probably my second favorite actress. (I could hardly go with my favorite b/c with the initials Z.Z. the game would be over in 30 seconds!)

Ms. Cheung has been in almost 100 movies and won multiple awards. She has gone from sidekick “eye candy” to a wonderful and mature actress with much range and depth. If you’ve never seen her in anything, do yourself a favor and watch Comrades: Almost a Love Story. (Scroll down on the link for my review).

I hope y’all had fun. I did. Thanks!
