I am not Robert Penn Warren.
Did you see this post? ![]()
Did you write a very popular inspirational book?
Sorry, Sternvogel, I did miss that one completely. Yes to your DQ, and you get another.
RW is:
- Alive in the 20th century
- Still alive
- Involved in the arts
- Not an actor (but has appeared on film)
- Best known for musical accomplishments
- Male
- Not from the midwest
Hmm. Nope, can’t think who that would be. Ask a DQ.
Did you write the screenplay for Braveheart?
Are you a Rolling Stone?
The football owner is Ralph Wilson of the Buffalo Bills.
DQ: Are you from the USA?
IQ: Are you an outfielder who played his entire fifteen-season Major League Baseball career with the Yankees?
I don’t know who this is. DQ!
I am not rooster-haired Ron Wood.
Nope. And as usual, I can’t answer the sports question, so DQ away.

DQ~ Do you write soundtracks?
I was thinking of Purpose Driven Life author Rick Warren.
If I asked if you played the keyboards, would you say Yes?
Roy White was a Bronx bomber from 1965 to '79.
DQ: Are you European?
IQ: Are you familiar with being called Buttercup?
Yes indeed! I am caped keyboardist Rick Wakeman. (Regarding the acting question, Wakeman had an acting role in Lisztomania, and has apparently had a couple of other bit parts, and of course also appeared in a non-acting capacity in the theatrically released concert film Yessongs.)
Congratulations Marley23! And thanks to all who played!
That’s Randall Wallace.
Congrats to Marley23! Well played.
At least I was on the right track with this question (although there are people who refuse to lump Britain in with the European countries).
This was a reference to the Princess Bride role played by Robin Wright before she added “Penn” to her name after marrying Sean.
Thanks. I keep getting tempted to start one of these, but I worry I’d end up picking the most obvious set of initials in the world, like MLK or JWB.
Well, if you omit the middle initial, as is customary, that should make it at least somewhat harder.
Dammit, I wanted to ask: are you a blonde who’s a direct descendant of a signer of the Declaration of Independence?
Just because I love that factoid.
Reese Witherspoon! I played the Rev. John Witherspoon in a college production of 1776, and later in a law school legal-history course wrote a biographical essay about him. Quite a guy - Scottish-born, president of Princeton U., and the only clergyman to sign the Declaration.
