Well, to the best of my knowledge, nobody’s ever sung The Spar-Spangled Banner at Yanke Stadium or anywhere else. :o

The anthem singer I had in mind was Robert Merrill, while the center fielder who likely heard Merrill’s rendition of Francis Scott Key’s lyrics on a few occasions was Rick Miller.

It can truly be said that astorian did a good job of synthesizing the information revealed by our DQ’s to arrive at the correct answer!

I thought that was the nautical version.
