Im not used to android, so how are apps moved to different screen pages. On the iphone,i hold the icon until it shakes and then move it. Is the procedure similar on droids?

Pretty much the same to move an Android icon to a different spot on the same page.
I don’t think you can move an Android icon to a different page, though. You have to add it to the page you want and then (if you desire) remove it from the page you no longer want it on as a separate step.
Hope that helped.
Okay thanks, that worked.
For some reason i cant copy and paste from the email app, is there a method to that, almost every other application allowed me the option.

We’re talking about moving icons between the 5 home screens, right? It works as one would expect: when you tap and hold on an icon, a faint grid pattern appears, as well as two skewed rectangles at each end of the screen that represent the adjacent home screens. Just drag the icon into that rectangle and it’ll be moved to the adjacent screen.
Just tap on the text and hold; a copy dialog along with the range marker thing should show up.
You’re absolutely right. Sometime after I sent that initial response I decided to try moving an icon to another screen on my Droid X and son-of-a-gun you can do that. I logged back on here to modify my initial response and saw that you’d already done so.
On my phone (a Droid X) a small arrow eventually appears on each side of the screen, and moving the icon over one of the arrows causes the display to side over to the next screen with your icon-to-be-moved still under your finger.
Just remember that in Android, the “long press” is pretty much equivalent to the “right click” in Windows. When in doubt, do a long press, and see what options pop up.
Ok, i will try the long press. As i said tho, c&p does work in other apps on the sammy, just for some reason not on this mail app, which appears to be native and not third party.
Off i go , i will post back regarding the long hold.

No luck with the long press, no options dialog came up.

Are you long-pressing on the text of the e-mail? I’m not sure why it wouldn’t work - I just checked both my tablets and they both work fine.
By the way, which Galaxy Tab do you have? There would be some differences between 8.9/10.1 which run Honeycomb, and the 7 which I believe is on Gingerbread. That said, I have both a Tab 10.1 and an HTC Flyer with Gingerbread and copy/paste from e-mail works fine on both.
Actually the info on the device says 2.2 froyo. C&P work fine on other apps, so its not like its that big a deal, yet anyways. I just was curious if i was missing something.
I just rooted it last night, so i will look into putting a more recent OS sometime later this week.
