Listening to the radio in the car I heard a fantastic re-take Bowie did of* Rebel Rebel*.
Sadly the DJ did not identify where/when it came from. I did a quick YouTube search for a live version and found something close.
Do any of the Teeming Millions know of simiar ‘off-beat’ recordings of Rebel Rebel?
Possibly the 2003 remake which can be found on the 30th anniversary reissue of Diamond Dogs?
You could have heard the original single mix. Totaly different then the album mix.
Biffy hit the ‘off-beat’ nail on the head, and it looks like that’s the studio version. I thought the one I heard was live.
Do you know if there’s a recorded live version of that remake?
Must be the Reality Tour version. Looks like this came out on CD just last year; I wasn’t even aware of it.
