Boxer Alexis Arguello, Dead at 57

Arguello was a 3-time champion, who fought professionally from 1968 - 1995. His fight with Aaron Pryor in 1982 (I think) was one of the greatest boxing matches I’ve ever seen. Last year he was elected mayor of Managua, Nicaragua. Not sure what he died from yet.

Edit: I guess I can’t fix the title, but it should obviously be “Dead.”

Fixed the title for you.

I’m trying to find a news story, but I’m hearing that Arguello shot himself through the heart after being accused of shady dealings with public money.

Edit: here we go, at least for the cause of death.
