Here you go: Remeniscent of the recent good sport example from the NCAA Div II women’s softball teams in Washington and Oregon,
I give you the St. John Fisher Div III men’s baseball team.
And those who are tempted to post something to the effect that it’s wrong not to “try and win,” all I have to say is I hope I don’t ever have to play a game with you. :smack:
Well, it’s not right that they’re not playing to win. Although, there are some things even bigger than baseball. Would I have made the same decision? Maybe. Would it have been my idea? Maybe not. Probably not.
I’ve played in several World Championships.
In one of them, our team accidentally broke the rules. Before we were awarded the title, we reported it, dropping to third.
Sportsmanship covers honesty and respect for the opposition.
If you don’t understand that, I feel sorry for you.
