Am I going insane? Did i dream about this, Or was Brad Pitt supposed to star in a movie called teh last man or just last man or something very similar to that?
I can find nothing!
Here is what I find after some searching.
On June 11, 2002, the New York Daily News reported that the Brad Pitt film (which they describe as “on again off again”) The Last Man has been retitled to The Fountain.
In September 2002 CNN reported that Pitt had unattached himself to the film to play Achilles in Troy.
Apparently, at this point the support completely fell apart and nothing was done on the project until…
On March 3, 2004, The Guardian reported that Hugh Jackman will be taking the Brad Pitt role in The Fountain, still being directed by Aranofsky.
Apparently pre-production on this is just now being restarted and I can’t find anything giving a filming schedule for it. It is listed for neither Jackman nor Aranofsky at IMDb.
