Brag: "My" article is today's Wikipedia Featured Article

Judy Garland, which looked like this before I started reworking it and now looks like this and is a Featured Article, is on Wikipedia’s Main Page today, the anniversary of her death. It took a lot of work to get the article up to featured status and, while I certainly wasn’t the only contributor, I think it’s fair to say that my efforts were largely responsible and I’m very proud of it.

Since it became the article of the day, it’s been vandalized dozens of times, including once while I was typing this post. People are assholes.

Congratulations, and good job!

And don’t let the assholes get you down.

Otto, could you get any gayer? :stuck_out_tongue:

Considering that other articles I’ve gotten listed as “good” include Judy’s TV show, a gay porn star, his most notable film, Queer Eye, Zero Patience, a drag queen trapeze artist and a movie about male prostitutes, along with sourcing the homosexual implications of “Bride of Frankenstein,” I’m gonna say…no.

Let’s just hope nobody writes a report on her. :stuck_out_tongue:  Stupid Scots!

Congrats.

So…what’s next for the Otto-man? Barbra Steisand?

Ew, no, I can’t stand her.

I’m kind of undecided as to what to work on next. I have the film version of “The Hustler” nominated for good article status and a couple other film articles are pretty close but I need more information on the production. I just picked up a copy of the original “Manchurian Candidate” today on DVD so I was thinking I might go there, but I’ve also gotten interested recently in this historic gay bar called the Black Cat. And still on the back burner are the articles for the Wonder Woman TV series and the 1950s syndicated Flash Gordon series but I can’t get really re-motivated about them.

Shhhhhh! You’re mentioning all our straight crossover flicks. How are we going to recruit? Don’t you mention Tarzan and gladiator movies!

I love Judy Garland. I recently saw her in “The Pirate,” and I loved her and it. Thanks Otto
