Well, that was disappointing but Germany were undeniably better today. Argentina just didn’t have enough offense. They were never going to be champions of the world with Palacios and a hamstrung Agüero out there.
What a goal that was though. Brilliant run and cross by Schurrle, fantastic finish by Gotze.
Damn that’s a pretty goal. Has just about everything you want in a highlight. Well done.
The better team won. IMO Argentina played an exhausting counterattack style of offense and they were physically done by the 70th minute.

What a feeling it must be to win it all. A two year campaign ends with you on top. Wow.
Phew. That’s how a WC Final should be. 
Overall a decent final. A great first half and though it became scrappier after that, the winning goal was worthy of a final.
I think the 2002 final was a bit better but this one is second-best in the last 25 years.

Goetze’s goal was fantastic, definitely a worthy cup-winning strike. As a good Aussie fan, though, i’m sticking with Tim Cahill for goal of the tournament.
I think it’s safe to say that Pharrell’s “Happy” has now been permanently ruined for the players of Argentina.
