The first two on there that I checked, Newcastle and Scunthorpe, were both formed by two or more clubs coming together.
If I remember correctly Arsenal at one point a few years ago didn’t have a single Brit in their starting 11.
And Chicharito is on. Mexico are fighting and keeping Brazil off their game.
Mexico’s keeper has had a really impressive game - he doesn’t currently have a club. I suspect that’ll change.
I would imagine so; he deserves it. Such confidence, poise, and quickness.
Just now: another heroic Ochoa save!
And again, great save!
A Brazilian diving for a penalty? Surely not.
Best keeper performance of the tournament so far.
No fooling the ref there!
Mexico still going strong.
Ochoa has been sterling so far – Excellent goal-keeping!
When was the last time a national team left Brazil scoreless?
I would say that, given the relative (theoretical) strength of both teams, Mexico tying 0-0 with Brazil is almost like a victory, at least from a morale point of view! I think that Mexico will feel energized and Brazil will be shaken by this result.
(If the 0-0 tie lasts for 3 minutes more till the end of the game, that is!)
Whoa – this game is proof that a 0-0 match does not have to be boring at all… Both teams are attacking hard and creating very dangerous chances!
In reading about Ochoa, his past club performances were sometimes rather poor. Not in 2014 in Brazil! He’s found something special.
I was thinking the same thing! A very good result for Mexico!
That was intense.
That was certainly one of the better 0-0 draws with two team with the urge to win till the last second. Can I say congrats, Mexico?
And it is over. Brazil 0 - 0 Mexico.
I was not expecting this result. Well done, Mexico! Leaving Brazil scoreless is something not many teams can boast of having done, as far as I know!
Last time I think was a tedious 0-0 against Portugal in 2010 in South Africa, in the third game of group play, with both Portugal and Brazil guaranteed to move forward.
I was too nervous to comment… wow. Ochoa stepped up.
In the last World Cup Portugal-Brazil was a 0-0 draw.
Brazil has some issues.
