I noted an error in one episode. When Hank is hunting for the meth lab, he describes the motorhome as a “Class C” RV. It is, in fact, a Class ‘A’ Winnebago Bounder.

Wait, maybe it was an error made by the character rather than the show, reflecting the gritty realism that not everyone has the exact nomenclature of RVs thoroughly memorized!

Well, we’re finally caught up, in a backwards sort of way. We got season two from the library and watched it, interspersed with the ongoing season three eps on AMC. Then season one came in, so we just watched all seven of those eps in a marathon yesterday. I’m glad that the show found itself early on, as they seemed to be playing things for laughs somewhat in the early eps, and Sky was a vapid character who has now thankfully come into her own.

Question/comment: I didn’t think that AMC showed nudity or allowed cursing to go unedited, but in the pilot show there are bare breasts and the f-bomb (among others) is dropped several times. I prefer that people talk like they do in real life, but was surprised by this. What gives? Is my memory faulty? Doesn’t AMC actively censor movies? Later eps drop an occasional “shit”, which they also do in *Mad Men *, but “fuck” seems to have disappeared after season one in BB.

Three main reasons:
*Both of us watch the show, so a laptop screen ain’t going to hack it.
*I have no desire to subscribe to Netflix, nor to invest the money in a Roku or gaming console
*I’ve learned to be patient about things. It’s only a TV show.

Vince Gilligan said the title “Breaking Bad” comes from an old southern expression. I’m middle aged and southern but I’ve never heard the expression. Has anybody else heard it before?

Not I, and I know LOTS of old Southerners.

The show is amazing, but I spend it wanting to crack Walt’s skull the whole time for being such a douche to Jesse. Every damned time a small portion of kindness is called for, he never comes up with it and it always, always bites somebody in the ass.

ETA - and how the hell did Hank suddenly get to be one of my favorite characters? I find myself… rooting for Marie now? I feel a little betrayed, as I did so used to love to hate her.

yeah i like hank and pretty much despise walt. i think the guy that plays jessie is a great actor, but if he’s on meth, they need to dirty up his teeth
