Breaking news! Neverland Ranch raided!

Shayna - The one at the Smonking Gun site is the one that was settled out of court in a civil action 9 years ago. It isn’t the current case, although the court documents were made public only within the last year or so (IIRC).

The boy in the 1993 document was 13 at the time the civil suit was filed. That document has nothing to do with yestarday’s search warrant. This is a whole new allegation.

The news (NBC) just said that an arrest warrent has been issued for Mike.

I wonder if this will turn out like Waco, with a standoff ending with Bubbles the Chimp setting the ranch aflame.

His lawyer said today on the tube that he has 24 hour supervision because of things like this possibly happening. Thus, it couldn’t have happened.

Well, that’s what his lawyer claims, but who’s watching him - a squad from the cops? If it’s just employees of his, I’m pretty sure they’re not following him into the bathroom, and they’re not insisting, “No boss, I’m not going to leave the room and I won’t lie for you.”

Well, he doesn’t exactly have the tightest grip on reality…

Anybody wondered why his last name is Jackson?

To jack (off) and son???

Was that little boy called reality?

Is he even in country? I thought he was living mostly overseas where most of his bizarre fan base is located.

According to one news report I read, he’s in Vegas right now shooting a video. Can’t remember where I read it, tho…

According to the L.A. Times story, he’s in Las Vegas shooting a video and has been there (with his children) for the past 3 weeks.

Thanks for the clarification, Eats_Crayons. I didn’t pick that up at midnight when I scanned that link. Makes more sense in that timeline. :smack:

What simply boggles the mind is how anyone can let their children anywhere near Michael Jackson anymore. Whether or not he has actually been found guilty of any child-related crimes is irrelevant to the fact that he is just creepy! Are these parents hoping to bring their children 15 minutes of fame? A chance to say they were friends with a star? What is it?

if people are stupid or high enough to faint when they see a superstar, then yeah, they are going to let their children in the hands of their idol. You have people who never believe something, you know there are still people who believe the holocaust did not happen

not much to add, but here’s a link to the BBCs take on the reported arrest warrant

If this goes to trail, I wonder if he’ll hire Johnny Cochran. “If it doesn’t fit, you must aquit.”

Considering how weird Jackson is, I think the Chewbacca defense might actually work.

“Chewbacca defense”?

That does not make sense!

I’m beginning to love wikypedia:

Sorry for not posting more in that last post: that was from the 1993 case, not the current one. It does, however, describe in detail what the accusations were in that case. The media was pretty vague about the details. I just thought it was relevant/interesting. I should have posted more than just a url though.
