Routh apparently offered $150,000 to anyone that can finish the job. Hopefully any would-be assassins consider the logistics of acquiring the reward money.
Part of the note reads, “This was an assassination attempt on Donald Trump but I failed you. I tried my best and gave it all the gumption I could muster. It is up to you now to finish the job; and I will offer $150,000 to whomever can complete the job.”

Oran Alexander Routh was arrested this week after authorities searched his Greensboro, North Carolina, home “in connection with an investigation unrelated to child exploitation,” and found hundreds of files depicting child sexual abuse, an FBI agent said in court papers.
Investigators who seized multiple electronic devices found videos sent to Oran Routh in July as well as chats from a messaging application commonly used by people who share child sexual abuse material, the FBI agent said.

Sounds like that in the normal course of investigating people connected to the assassin that they came across information that they were obligated to report. Most likely he wanted to distance himself from his dad and gave them permission to examine his devices. The douchbag should have lawyered up, too bad.
If the FBI was under trump’s thumb I’d assume all the child-porn evidence was planted. I predict that will be a very common police MO if he gets in.
