I would be shocked if there wasn’t a search warrant. A consent search is just as valid as a warrant search but may lead to more openings for objections in court. For a case like this, the FBI would want everything tied up with all the proper paperwork. I doubt he had a choice in the matter.
‘Innocent until proven guilty in a court of law’ - news outlets always refer to them as ‘alleged’ until the verdict is read - then its ‘convicted’ (or not, as the case may be).
Its an important thing in our society - even when its ‘obvious’.
I think the point @ftg was getting at is that Trump… wasn’t assassinated. The defendant is an alleged attempted assassin. 
Doesn’t usually stop them speculating about guilt or innocence, or revealing details of the defendant’s criminal record.
meh - a bad (or in this case, dead) assassin is still an assassin.

I think the defense lawyer has a solid point here: there’s an argument to be made that Cannon isn’t impartial.
If she keeps the case we’ll be amazed at how fast she can move it along, eh?

Yeah, I remember waaaaay back when Nixon called Charlie Manson a killer, instead of “alleged killer.” He caught all kinds of flak for it, and IIRC it could have been used by the defense to show prejudice. After that, I knew you heard “alleged” a lot more than I remember it being used before that.
Judge Aileen Cannon: Nope. No conflict here. I won’t recuse myself from this case.
