Bricker and the "Mr. Rick Roll"

I was surfing threads on sushi and found this gem from September 2006:

The Mr. Rick Roll

From the thread responses, it seemed to have predated the Internet meme, and Wikipedia appears to back this up.

What I want to know is, does this restaurant still serve up Rick Rolls?

What, you think they’d ever give them up? Or ever say goodbye?

Saw a failed rick roll on another board recently, the post went something like this:

He’d just left the raw link in his post and the board software displayed it as the YouTube title.

Rickrolls have only been around for less than four years? Seems like so much longer.

Hell, YouTube’s only been around just over 5 years now.

That’s hard to believe. I know it’s true, but it’s weird to realize.

For pete’s sake <whoever he is>, I just tried to reply to the old thread.
I really don’t want to be banned for replying to a 4 year old thread, but it was interesting!
Luckily I checked before hitting post.:stuck_out_tongue:

St. Peter. It’s a way of getting around saying “For God’s sake”.
