And damn your oily hide, jmizzou. I copped your 24 and started hunting, and thought I found an answer in the Save-Ums, but by the time I previewed, you beat me to it.
So I suppose I can keep hunting and hope I can find a better answer in the event that you’re wrong…
Yeah, that’s gotta be it. Those $#^%! stinky dinosaur diapers.
[maniacal]
Mwahahaha!
[/maniacal]
I’m glad you found the same answer, because I was scraping the bottom of the barrel on that one. I kept thinking it would be a Star Wars/Star Trek/Sliders thing.
I suppose it’d have been a poor show for me to steal the prize out from under you, considering you gracefully helped me with some of the last few answers in a previous Challenge. Consider this confirmation of your last question a payback, and next time, no more Mr Nice lno.
What am I, chopped liver?
Had I returned during the night, I could have used your nineteen, but your nineteen was inferior to jmizzou’s twenty-four. I realize that basic math may be foreign to your advanced financial mind …
Next time, chief, next time we’ll jointly rule the world. Or something like that.
Which, to be fair, was stol-. . .um, borrowed from Zakalwe’s 24, being superior to my then-23. Love the bolded questions; hate coding it up myself.
jmizzou - 25 and the win!
Well done.
There were a few questions on which I was lenient this time around… for example, I gave credit for George Eliot being a woman and didn’t require the ideal answer - one that spelled out that she was a woman writing under a man’s pseudonym and not a women born in a man’s body and requiring the assistance of doctors like Paul Fough-Anderson and Erling Dahl-Iversen. I gave credit for the Charge of the Light Brigade without requiring that the dessert reference be explained.
Next Challenge won’t let you off so easy – so as a general bit of advice, if there’s a reference in the question, make sure your answer addresses it in some way.
jmizzou - drop me an e-mail!
Geez, whom do you think everyone else cribbed from? I don’t need to win or anything, but damn, I get no respect around here! Buncha lemmings, says I.
Man that was brutal…Bricker, you are pure evil.
Only 25 questions. I’m 1/2 evil.
During the charge of the Light Brigade, which British leader tried to avert the impending disaster, and what did he say?
Lord Cardigan ; “pull over!”
