It’s nice that he’s reconsidering (even if it took much longer than it should have), but none of this really deals with my personal problem with him.
I don’t actually think Bricker is a horrible person. I think he can sometimes be shitty. I think he crows too much about how much integrity he has, but then uses certain rhetorical techniques that I do not find compatible with that claim. Some is intentional, some is not.
The fact that he is willing to change his mind is a very good thing. And it’s why, when I can think clearly enough to do it properly, I plan on emailing him a full apology for clearly hurting him as much as I did. My intent was only an object lesson in something that he is particularly stubborn about, not to actually hurt him.
I mean, he isn’t exactly nice, so I assumed he was taking this all in stride.

It sounds like Bricker may have some Cuban heritage. I personally know some Cubans as white as me. I’ve always suspected Bricker can pass as white. He plays the I’m Hispanic card though. And when he’s arguing for poor treatment of brown people from Central America, there’s always an implied, “It’s OK. I’m hispanic.”
If my assessment is correct, then that doesn’t demonstrate any personal character I would aspire to. But I don’t care enough to verify.
My praise is because he admitted that his personal bias about Castro is likely overwhelming his judgement, and that he’s rethinking his opinions. That’s harder than it sounds (especially for keyboard warriors like us!).

I don’t think BigT has much if anything going on in his life besides this MB (he’s said in the past that the board is “my life”). Having his words on this MB be of importance to people gives meaning to his life.
