Bricker is a Pile of Shit Sculpted into Human Shape

The question is, is it irritating enough that you’ll stop responding to his posts? If not, then don’t expect to see a change, since his behavior is being rewarded.

I don’t think Bricker does any of that either. I’ve seen Bricker admit he was wrong before, and that’s something you rarely see on this board. I’ve never seen him “denigrate entire classes of people” or “flout board rules,” but I’ve only been here 10 fucking years next month.

John is just to busy copulating mods in search of a modship. He comes across as nauseating much of the time, like that kid in the third grade that always wanted to erase the blackboard for the teacher.

So it irritates you that Bricker isn’t a pious hypocrite like you? Yes, I can see how that must be annoying to know that other posters are more principled than you, but I would have thought you were used to it by now.

Well, the thing that bugs me about it is that it need not be a hypocritical stance. I personally thought Comey was going to get fired early in Trump’s administration, since he seems to have pissed just about everyone off. That he lasted this long surprised me.

I wasn’t calling for his resignations then; I wasn’t calling for it now. That doesn’t make my opinion any purer or more consistent/non-hypocritical than those who were calling on his firing then and are upset now. Context is everything. If he had been fired in January, there would have been little ruckus from the original anti-Comeyites. The timing of it now makes it stink like dog shit on a hot summer’s day. Maybe it is just coincidence. But objecting to the timing and appearance of the firing of Comey now and being pissed and calling for his resignation in the summer/fall need not be hypocritical stances. And I, personally, do not think they are, even though it’s never been my stance.

I was going to pick selected passages in this post to ridicule, but looking it over, I see that the whole thing is simply an indictment of your ability to understand logic and reason.

Basically, you have taken your emotional reactions to some of his positions and tried to turn your misunderstanding of his expressed statements to pretend that they are irrational when it is your logic that is lacking.

I disagree with Bricker on a number of issues, but I, at least, take the time to try to understand what his actual position may be, rather than inventing a position for him based on some odd desire to paint him as “bad.” For example, your claims regarding his career as a defense lawyer portray you as more immoral than you want to claim that he is. In your unjust (and unconstitutional) world, a person who was brought to trial who was innocent, but who appeared to be guilty, should simply be hung out to dry if no lawyer believed he was innocent, since no “moral” lawyer would defend that person based on your preconceived notions and prejudices. (Your attitudes are what keeps the Innocence Project necessary, although it would seem to me that, based on your other hypocritical statements, you should be supporting defense lawyers the way that they actually behave.)

It is fun to watch you miss the point so loudly, however.

My only real criticism of Bricker is his refusal to admit that the Island of Sodor has a slavery-based economy. That refusal does speak to a fundamental lack of character.

My only real criticism of Bricker is that he lacks integrity.

He’s one of our most obvious trolls. That’s the flouting I’m talking about. I’ve only been here thirteen years, but that doesn’t matter, because he does it, like, every week. About half his fucking OPs end with him saying “I wonder what our board liberals will say?”, reaching for his lotion, and tenting his hands expectantly.

It’s his pose as arbiter of everyone’s integrity (or lack thereof), including his own, which of course is unimpeachable, while everyone else falls short of his perfection.

LHOD nails him on that here, to take a current example.

The trains work voluntarily, out of a desire to be Really Useful Engines.

That is not slavery!!

Don’t forget that BigT is the same twat who once bragged that he’d love to pretend to be impartial so he could get on a jury to influence it illegally. (Cite: My sister's murderer will not be charged - The BBQ Pit - Straight Dope Message Board and there’s a follow-up thread somewhere)

So his idea of “justice” and “fair trials” seem to conflict with, well, everything

The fact that you are still pushing this bushwa after twelve years tells me all I need to know, Herr Goebbels.

What happens to the Little Engine That Couldn’t Quite? Spare parts?

It’s false consciousness. Fight the hegemony!

Scrapping. Mr. Slavery Apologist tried to minimize that here.

More “wisdom” about juries by BigT

And as I said then:

I can’t decide if I’m horrified or impressed that you know that much about Thomas & Friends.

I don’t know if the “fact cards” for Thomas toys can be trusted any more than the assertions of plantation owners. Don’t buy into the propaganda!

Twelve years, and we’re still arguing the economics of the slave trade in talking trains.

There are times I love the SDMB, and times I wish I had never heard of it. This is one of those times.
