Actually, that’s exactly what she did wrong. Her mother just exacerbated the situation.

I would suspect that during his short tenure working up on the Arctic Slope, Levi was introduced to the wide world of possible sex with multiple partners by his coworkers. The prospects for getting laid for a young, good-looking guy are pretty damned good, and marriage is not the way to achieve that. But I’m a cynic.

Yep. Yet that her mother ran for Vice President on a platform that tends to be intolerant of people who make that very mistake makes her story relevant and means she will not be allowed to live it privately - possibly not for several years.

I think a lot depends on her mother’s ambition. Bristol’s never going to be allowed to “live it privately” as long as her mom is prominent in national politics.

I forget- what did they name the baby? Field? Maple? Vancouver?

I agree with others that I feel sorry for Bristol that she has parents who are either too dumb or too selfish to realize how bad it was going to suck to have the world’s attention drawn to her mistakes. Here’s to hoping she and her son find happiness.

I don’t know - once she is an adult if she chooses she can live her own life. I’m thinking about Ron Reagan, Jr. or Mary Cheney, both who were allowed to live “un-conservative” lives outside the spotlight of the press (for the most part) despite the political leanings of their high profile parents.
