I seem to remember there being a meal of sorts in Northern Ireland, somewhat akin to the French le goûter, if I’m remembering my French classes at school. Something about bread and jam as a snack of sorts. It might be our version of the “Apres Lunch” from the list Mangetout listed, or maybe just tea
Speaking as the wife of a Born-n-Bred Northerner (Yorkshire), those imposter Jaffa cakes are apparently just as good as the real ones according to 'imself. And for some reason they tend to be less stale when we get them over here too.
