British Legal Phrase: "Court is a Court"??

I’m sure reading the title of this thread you thought I was keen on judicial matters in the UK. Nope. There’s a Monty Python courtroom sketch (the one where the judge and the lawyers play charades) where at one point the barristers all start chanting “court is a court…court is a court.” What does this mean?

You cloth-eared bint. It’s “Call this a court? Call this a court?”

And as to why they were yelling it, it was a joke on how witnesses are called, by calling out “Call” and the witness’ name.
