Since the question has been answered, a slight hijack:
When the Pythons say the word “yacht”, it seems to me that they are pronouncing it similar to the word “latch” with the letter “t” on the end (like latched) instead of “yawt” like we do in the US of A.
Am I hearing things? Are there similar words?
It’s part of the joke. You’d think it would be pronounced the way it’s spelt, but it isn’t.

Brits are funny that way. They insist on saying Don KWIKS-oat instead of Don Kee-HO-tay. 
There’s also Hilter, Bimmler, and Vibbentrop.
For added silliness, google < “quixotic” pronunciation > . Apparently there are TOP. MEN. who say it is properly pronounced “kwiks-OTT-ick” which I think is ridiculous.
That’s “yacht” as in “nachtmusik”, but with a “y” instead of an “n”, and no “musik”.

NETA: OTOH, at least one member (Graham Chapman) of MP was gay, however I don’t believe the rest of them knew it at the time.
I’m pretty sure the rest of the Pythons knew about it. Chapman and his lover, David Sherlock, lived together and enjoyed the London gay clubbing scene. Chapman came out on television in the early 70’s, but according to his biography, had come out to at least John Cleese five years prior.

It’s entirely possible I’m mis-remembering an interview with Cleese where the subject came up…why it came up, I don’t remember, but I can picture Cleese saying 'of course, we didn’t know at the time".
Like I said, I’m probably don’t remember it correctly. I’ll have to see if I can dig it up.
I believe Cleese was referring to Chapman’s alcoholism when he said that. No one in the group was aware of how bad it was until the movies were being made.
If this is the interview I’m thinking of, it was indeed in reference to Chapman’s homosexuality, and it was not said in any derogatory fashion. Cleese merely admitted to being “surprised,” and not disapproving. Apparently, Chapman’s orientation was not obvious to everyone, if at all. IIRC, he at one time was dating a woman before he “switched teams.”

- One of the Pythons - I think it was Palin - tells a story of Chapman going to the bank to deposit his paycheck during a break in filming. The teller was stunned by the fact that Chapman was dressed as Biggles at the time, in full flying ace regalia. Chapman’s response to the teller: “It’s alright - I am a doctor.” Which indeed he was.
