No, don’t do this. Even if it’s obviously fake. So dressing up as an admiral for a fancy dress party could land you three months in jail. The law states it is an offence to “impersonate the holder of a certificate of service or discharge”.’

There’s a ‘performance’ exemption to the uniform restrictions, and we’ll be fully licensed up for shows. I can’t see that being relevant.

I, I’ve witnessed several young ladies dressed up as police officers and quite frankly behaving in a most un-police-officer way. Were they doing wrong?
If they swiftly got rid of those uniforms, everything was fine.
