Yeah when I read about this my first thought was “oh my god is this the Big One?” I hope so. We’ve all been waiting for the Big One with bated breath. Some thought when she shaved her head, that was the Big One. They were wrong. That one didn’t end with her on a gurney.

I feel like being a paparazzo is a lot like being an OB/GYN or a fireman or anything you have to be on call for emergencies. I can’t imagine having to crawl out of bed in the middle of the night because Britney is somewhere naked playing her kids’ heads like bongos.

Wow, I had to be a joy killer and all, but some of you guys are absolutely horrible. This woman had a full on mental breakdown and everyone is here making tasteless jokes about her. Look, she has done a lot of stupid shit and been a bad parent (unforgivable, I agree), but if she was mentally unstable, only so much of the blame can be placed on her. Don’t get me wrong, ultimately it is her fault alone, but a mentally unstable person can’t be expected to make rational decisions. Actually, that’s an ideology I picked up on this board- before reading here, I used to think that “crazy” people were just weak; reading what the intelligent people here have to say about the matter made me realize that mental illness really is a major disease.

Some of the sites are reporting that she tried to kill herself and her children- how the hell is that funny? She was rushed to the hospital, strapped to a gurney, going back and forth between laughing and hysterically crying. The woman is having a total mental breakdown that is not only hurting herself, but certainly her two young sons.

Thankfully, her youngest son- Jayden- was released from the hospital into his father’s care at 4:30 AM. She’s still on a psych hold for 72 hours, but at least her kids are ok now.

Also, I really think it’s shitty for anyone to call Kevin Federline a bad father. I fail to see what he’s done that shows him to be a bad dad, aside from initially leaving his ex gf for Britney, while Shar was pregnant. The thing is though, even his ex gf- who ought to absolutely hate him- raves about what an amazing father he is. It’s good that those children have some semblance of stability in their lives.

So, not that I would be so full of myself to think you care, but some of you have really changed my opinion of you with your words in this thread.

I think most people here would be repsectful of any decent person who has mental problems, but when you go out and party and drink and take drugs and fuck all night instead of taking of care of your kids and being a responsible adult like most people out there, then you tend to leave yourself open to mockery.

Relax, there was nothing in the early reports to suggest that she tried to kill herself or her kids. We were only playing on the assumption that she was drugged/boozed up and acting a fool. That would be entirely her fault.

I think they are mainly to act as a buffer to keep the paparazzi at a reasonable distance from his kids. One guy is a bodyguard that stays with him, the others are probably a driver and nanny.

Actually, no. Last night, there was a live feed on a local LA fox affiliate’s website. I believe the helicopter guy didn’t think anyone could hear him and he was talking to another news guy- he was saying that coming over the police scanner was that she had locked herself in a room with her son and was screaming, “I’D RATHER DIE THAN LET HIM HAVE MY BABIES.” Apparently, she continued to scream this throughout the halls of the hospital (per what was leaked by other patients and such at the hospital).

And I am relaxed, thanks. I’m not up in arms about the things you guys are saying, all I’m saying is that it says a lot about a person if they are going to make jokes about a mentally unstable woman trying to kill herself and potentially her children. “LULZ! Did you guys hear about that crazy bitch trying to drown her kids in the lake? Susam Smith? More like SUSAN CRAZY PANTS! LULZ!” Just because it’s good ol’ crazy ass Britney, it’s ok for people to say horrible things that they otherwise wouldn’t say.

People around here have an tremendous amount of sympathy for mental illness. . . unless it is a celebrity involved.

We’ve had problems with mental health in my family and I am very sensitive to jokes about it - except in this case. I admit that makes no sense, but I am so repulsed by her irresponsible slutty behavior that I lean toward the gawking, joking group. Just a bad person I guess…
