Broadway: The American Musical starts tonight on PBS

Just thought I’d remind you.

Tonite’s episode starts @ 9 and runs for 140 minutes. The program description reads as follows:

“Give My Regards to Broadway: Syncopated City: “The Ziegfeld Follies”: composer Irving Berlin: “Show Boat”; “Shuffle Along”; songwriters Richard Rogers and Lorenz Hart.”

Then tomorrow we get…

"Composer Cole Porter; “Anything Goes”; “Pal Joey”; “Porgy and Bess”; “Oklahoma!”; “Carousel”; “South Pacific”; “My Fair Lady”

And on Thursday…

“West Side Story”; “Fiddler on the Roof”; composer Stephen Sondheim; “Cabaret”; “Chicago”; “A Chorus Line”; “42nd Street”; “Cats”; “Rent”; “The Producers”

Wednesday and Thursday starting times are 9pm, too.
