Broke AND rich?

Are there any philanthropists that give $$ to white people in need?
We have found ourselves in dire straights, my wife is in the hospital and I am being laid off.
We are having a house built and have put $30,000 into it and financed the rest. Now the bank wont come thru with the loan because I’m out of a job, and we will be out the $30K if we can’t get a loan. On top of that, I am ineligible to collect unemployment because I have not lived in this state for a year. I called many local organizations and they have all said, “You have to much money (The 30K we put on the house) to be eligible for any assistance”.

So, I searched the net for 'Philanthropists". I found many of them, but only for minorities, the disabled, third world countries, and charities that do not apply to us.
So, what’s a family to do? Who helps people like us?

30k was more than I had between jobs.
Good luck.

Our lifes savings.

I lived off my IRA between jobs, dude.
Life is tough.
I do wish you luck.

I thought you could collect unemployment from the state of former residence. The state you are in collects it from them. Check into this.

Contact local churches as well. They usually don’t give you cash, but some are willing to give food, and help out with expenses. Contact your utility companies. They might have programs to assist with the costs. (Sometimes you can get your utilities for free if you qualify.) The Salvation Army might help you out as well.

Good luck.

I think you need to sell your half built house for whatever you can get for it, but you will likely only get 15,000$ or so. It’s only money, you will find another job, you will be able to start over. I know many people who lost everything because of fire, serious illness, divorce, drug problems, etc. You just pick up what left and start over.

You seem to be under the impression that there exist charities that routinely buy members of minority communities out of routine financial binds.

Please disabuse yourself of that notion. It is simply not true.
