Almost every kid I know is posting pictures on Facebook showing common kitchen brooms standing by themselves. One declared the brooms could stand this way because of the equinox, but I had heard that about eggs, and I don’t know that March 7 is the equinox.
Can anyone tell me what’s going on with e brooms? Sorry if this is thecwrong forum.
This site says it’s just a matter of finding a broom, preferably a new one with bristles of an even length so that they all contact the floor, and just finding its balancing point. There’s nothing special about the time of year. It can be done on any day, any time. It’s just a matter of simple physics and of balancing the broom over its center of gravity.
