Brrr: it was a very chilly -4C this morning

Well, I was outside in shirtsleeves all weekend.

So was I–on the weekend. Thursday, though, with snow and north winds–brrr! It felt more like December than May.

You may want to be careful even then. Here in Calgary, we got three inches of snow last Thursday.

The middle two weeks in July should be safe, I guess?

Yes, they’ll be fine. Last week was a bit of a freak snow, according to the news. The weather over the weekend changed and became pleasant; I didn’t need a coat to work in the garden, and it got quite warm in the sunshine. And in July? Phew! Bring shorts and t-shirts and sandals; temps of 30 to 40C are common.

But you can see snow all year-round in the mountains, if you want to.
