Bruce Lee to Harrison Ford in six degrees.

Leslie Nielson to Mel Brooks, Dracula: Dead & Loving it
Mel Brooks to Cary Elwes, Robin Hood: Men in Tights
Cary Elwes to Billy Crystal, The Princess Bride
Billy Crystal to Carrie Fisher, When Harry met Sally
Carrie Fisher to Harrison Ford, Star Wars

(I’m sure there’s a shorter way, though…)

I could be wrong here, but wasn’t James Hong in a movie with Chuck Norris?

I guess you have to factor in age as well as ignorance. This is a game I played with people my age. I wasn’t born until 14 yrs after that movie came out.

If it makes you feel any better I’ll put that movie on my “to watch” list.

I came up with something very close to that, but from Bruce Lee to Ford is still seven degrees.

Lee to Ford in three:

Bruce Lee to John Saxon, Enter the Dragon
John Saxon to Timothy Carhart, Beverly Hills Cop III
Tim Carhart to Harrison Ford, Working Girl
I first tried to establish a path through Total Recall, except that wasn’t John Saxon but Michael Ironside, and I’ve never been able to keep those two tough guys straight! :o

[Vader] * Impressive*[/Vader]

Chuck Norris was in “Missing in Action” with James Hong. Yeah, Yeah, I [del]cheated on[/del] IMDB’d that one.

So, with “Way of the Dragon” as the starting point, I got:

Lee -> Norris-> Hong-> Ford

Which is also three.

I was originally thinking Richard Kiel -> Paul Newman (or Robert Redford) -> Robert Shaw -> Sean Connery, but it was Ted Cassidy, not Richard Kiel, in Butch Cassidy and the Sundance Kid.

John Saxon was in War Hunt with Robert Redford and Tom Skerritt, among others. Any help there?

For style points, can anyone beat 13 in pictures (going through Kevin Bacon himself)?

Bruce Lee

Kareem Abdul Jabbar

Dwayne “The Rock” Johnson

Vince Vaughn

Jennifer Aniston

Kevin Bacon

Tom Hanks

Denzel Washington

Halle Barry

Pierce Brosnan

Roger Moore

Sean Connery

Harrison Ford

Robert Redford to Robert Shaw (The Sting) to Sean Connery (From Russia With Love) to Harrison Ford (Indiana Jones and the Last Crusade).

Or, with help from IMDb;

Redford to Shaw to Ford (Force 10 From Navarone)
A triple-Bond move from Controvert, very nice.

C’mon, no one else thinks it was cool to make a chain using Barbara Billingsley and Richard Kiel?

Thanks… it’s surprisingly fun to do it in pictures. I was inspired by Walloon’s comment about appearing in scenes together. So, my rule is photos where two movie actors appear together (nobody between them and no movie posters or collages unless it is clearly a single photo) I had trouble getting from Pierce Brosnan to Sean Connery… have those two ever met in person? Roger Moore saved me.

I’m sure someone will come along and beat 13… but with or without Bacon?

Aha! I found my shorter way, cutting out two steps by using two of my fave movies.

Leslie Nielson to Mel Brooks, Dracula: Dead & Loving it
Mel Brooks to Gene Wilder, Blazing Saddles
Gene Wilder to Harrison Ford, The Frisco Kid

So that’s 5 total, using Kareem.
