I heard something interesting last night on the Succubus Club. Drew Greenburg was talking and said that as the only gay member of the ME staff, he was very hurt and disappointed that the gay community (in general) took Tara’s death so hard and interpreted it the wrong way, and he wished that people would have brought their concerns to him so he could explain. Apparently all the mail was going to Joss, Marti, and the guy who wrope the ep, Steve DeKnight.
You’re right Mockingbird it was a scythe Apparently ME doesnt know the difference? Or doesn’t care?
I’ve held a scythe. There’s no way in hell what’s showing in that stone could be anything BUT an axe. It’s possible that the original script called for a scythe, but if so ME must have abandoned that idea.
Or maybe it’s called The Scythe, like it’s the formal name for a singular object, but it’s actually shaped more like an axe for whatever reason.
I mean, Nolan Ryan doesn’t have flames shooting out of his ass, but they still call him The Rocket.
Not sure if this has been brought up at all, but I was figuring that they hooked Willow and Kennedy up so that Willow could have her chance to be romantically linked to a “Slayer” type. It also seems logical to me that if Willow is trying to surpress her magicalness, she may be playing the more submissive role and with Kennedy trying to pull off the dominate “I could be a Slayer” attitude, it just makes more sense to me. shrugs
I didn’t particularly like the scene either.
I don’t like watching a series I’ve been into ending in a lousy kind of fashion. I just hope the last two episodes are better.
I always thought Kennedy was a way of addressing the highly contentious argument about whether Willow is gay, or was just in love with Tara and post-Tara, would go back to guys. The verdict is in, Willow seems to be gay… though she did say to Kennedy that she “went gay for Tara,” so it remains slightly ambiguous.
ARGH. I really liked last week’s episode, and then got to see this week’s suckfest. Dammit. I’m surprised that everyone liked Spike’s speech so much, when Angel gave the exact same one (practically) in most of the episodes of season three, especially in Earshot. While most of the Willow/Kennedy sex was unhot, I will admit to liking to see anyone lick Willow’s neck.
It really kinda bugs me that Buffy was right. Again. I know the show’s named after her and all, but come on! She had, like, no good reason to suspect the vineyard, and just because she happens to be right by coincidence doesn’t mean she deserves any of the credit for it. Faith had much better plans in the last two episodes (not to mention better leadership skills) than Buffy has showed this season, and somehow it’s gonna turn out that she’s to blame for more SIT deaths than Buffy is! ARGH. It makes me so mad I could go beat myself with a freakin’ brick wall.
Speaking of brick walls, what is up with Anya? Why is she even still on this show?! I spent the entire first half of the episode yelling at the screen (after her few lines) for her to shut up. I felt like I was watching Dawson’s Creek. Of course, it’s not like Xander got any decent lines, either.
Now, I missed the last few minutes (freakin’ UPN affiliate’s pre-Buffy hockey game ran late), but did the core Scoobs ever do anything with Faith’s command to keep an eye on B?
