In the cable service I get, they just showed the movie and first episode last night.
I only started watching it last year, so once I got over the shock of “they all look so young!” it got better. I think the biggest noticible differnce is that vamps died much slower in the early episodes. I’m used to the insta-dust. They seemed to suffer a bit more last night.
Yeah, Mr. Bobkitty came in partway through and said “Awww, look at the babies! They’re so CUTE!!!” Yeah, whatever, Mr. Kitty.
I can’t help but wonder what’s going to happen when James and David start looking older. We’ve already seen David start out kinda small (did you notice the chicken legs on him last night? giggle), get a little flabby, then bulk up a bit to where he is now. James’ accent has improved dramatically since he started out. And I was really shocked at the difference in Darla… almost didn’t recognize her.
Oh, and even better than an episode guide… TRANSCRIPTS!! I adore this site… it’s where I get all my sound files (much to techsupport’s annoyance).
One last thing… is anyone taping Angel that I can get copies from? I don’t get UPN or WB (::gut-wrenching sob::), and I have someone taping Buffy for me, but no one seems to watch Angel. Come on, help a pathetic girl out here…

I tape Angel. E-mail me if you want to discuss it.

If the shows last that long, don’t Jump The Shark and neither Spike nor Angel is killed off…well…that’s where suspension of disbelief comes in, I guess…
No kidding. I have the first few episodes on tape, and when I watched them a while back, and saw Angel, I…well… I :eek:!
(I thought he was better looking when he was smaller, frankly.)
First I’d like to make apologies for not spell-checking my last post. I’m very sorry.
I watched the second half of the harvest episode this evening. Not only to the vamps die slower, but Buffy’s super-healing power don’t seem to have ramped up yet. She was holding ice on her elbow, something the rarely does in later episodes. Is that ever explained?
The Vamp-dusting…well…once it was established how it happened, it just got boring showing it again and again and again…
As to Buffy’s powers (which do seem to amplify a lot - I Robot…You Jane, when she kicks Malcolm is a good example.)… Maybe she’s like an RPG character…the more she trains, the more Slayergoodies she gets, even if she doesn’t specifically train them. ^__^;
Actually, no one who started watching BtVS its first season Dawson’s Creek fan. DC didn’t air for another year
Too bad that Buffy is going to be on the UPN now, I’ll never see the DC/BtVS cross-over episode I’ve always longed for <grin>
I don’t think that age has as much to do with it as love of horror-comedy. The show started out very campy. It’s gotten less so (to my disappointment) in the past couple of seasons, but…
