Buffy the Vampire Slayer !!!

Whew! I’m not the only Giles-adorer out there! Peta Tzunami, can you give me more info on this mailing list? It sounds verrrrrry interesting.

I just realised that I won’t be able to watch it Monday morning!. I’m actually setting up the basement vcr to tape it. :sigh:, I can’t believe I have sunk this low.

zweisamkeit.
You’re sinking low?
I’ve spent $250 on seasons 1-3 on dvd in three weeks. I’m totally engulfed by the Buffy-verse now. I’m scaring myself. At my age, I should certainly be over that type of blind fan-dom.

Having too much time on my hands, being sick from work, having rented every dvd in the store is one explanation, but still…

You do know that Buffy and Angel are ultimately produced by Paramount? Which set up UPN because it thought it could make more money from the shows it syndicates if it just broadcast on its own?

I thought that 20th Century FOX owned Buffy and Angel. FOX isn’t part of Paramount is it?

imdb.com lists 20th Century Fox Television [us], Mutant Enemy Inc. [us], Kuzui Enterprises [jp], and Sandollar Television [us] as the production companies for “Buffy the Vampire Slayer.”

FWIW, I am unaware of any connection between Fox and Paramount. If you substitute the various Star Trek series for Buffy and Angel in Barbarian’s post, I suspect it is correct.

Mmmmmm…Giles

Mr. Head is the Taster’s ChoiceTM

I wasn’t, and apparently it isn’t, but even if it was, I don’t see how that makes any difference to what I was saying. WB wouldn’t pay more for the sixth season of Buffy, and UPN was, so they switched networks. I can probably dig up a cite if you want.

Certainly, you’ll find it here. It’s heaviest in fanfic – especially 'shippers – which I have to admit isn’t my bag. I remain subbed for the snippets of Tony news mainly.

By the way, just got this bit of new in my inbox from GASP:
Anthony Stewart Head, whose character of Giles was missing from UPN’s “Buffy the Vampire Slayer” most of last year, will be back next season — in almost half the episodes.

“We just worked out a deal,” Head said this week. “A minimum of 10.”
