Anyone but me see this thing? When I went to see it yesterday, there were five of us in the audience. Three left when the realized it wasn’t Shrek the Third, and the other guy left about five minutes before the end.
So what did you think? A bit overacted? Scary? Disturbing? Better left as a play? Ashley Judd is crazy as a shithouse rat, but dayum what a body?
I saw it opening weekend. It was unique, I’ve never sen any movie like it. That’s about all I have to say about it. Didn’t hate it, didn’t like it.
I really did not buy into how quickly Ashley Judd fell for all the conspiracy theories. I know she was off center mentally, but damn she jumped right into the madness. And that really long dialogue scene at the very end went on for about 2 minutes too long, I stopped trying to follow what they were going on about.
I was thinking about that myself. Is insanity really contageous? Peter was a paranoid schitzophrenic, a condition that’s generally regarded as organic. It ain’t the flu.
I saw it. I fuckijng loved it. I NEVER want to see it again but I LOVED IT.
I occasionally run into William Friedkin, the director, so I set out to see this so I could possibly bring it up with him. I am glad I’ll be able to gush on this without having to lie.
Wow, have you ever had a conversation about The Exorcist? I think that would be more fascinating than Bug, although he’s probably tired of talking about it.
Its based on a play and since Friedkin has been doing a lot more theater directing (opera most recently) working with a single space might be what he’s used to right now.
I’ve been tryingto get up the nerve to ask about Cruising… but I hear he’s even ambivalent about the endings meaning.
