Buncha slackers in the MMP! {OLD}

Im feeling mmmmpy

Oh boy do I have a slacker in mind. Okay child o mine who can’t recall their FAFSA Id to apply for the SAVE income driven repayment program for student loans. October it restarts. But gop shit show right now, so will the help lines be available to assist procrastinating slackers?

She Slacked off until today at the end of the day to make the dreaded phone call to get her Id verified. Oooopsie it’s 5:55 in Chi but help lines close at 6 ET.

GFL women you were so supposed to be the responsible one!

nellie, when I worked at a nursing home many years ago, we used a set up like the first link that lily provided. It was generally used for patients who had foot / knee issues and to prevent drop foot.

CasaRoja is cleaneded up, laundry is done, prescription picked up and groceries bought. Tomorrow, I intend to rake the ~30 sq.ft. of lawn that I have and sweep the oak leaves off the patio, take the car through the car wash and go to the grocery outlet. I may take Nelson for a ride, since he’s limited for another few days from playing with the neighbor dogs or going to the dog park. He does have an appetite back though, so I know he’s feeling better.

Now to play with some of the new toys for the studio that were delivered last weekend.

The injection site has started to hurt. That is it so far.

Here’s hoping that is all it will be~got my :crossed_fingers:t3::crossed_fingers:t3::crossed_fingers:t3: for you!

Hurray! I hope it keeps up.

Cars are built better nowadays and it is not unreasonable to expect to get at least 250K as long as the normal oil changes and maintenance happens.

That looks pretty fun, I hope you have a great time!

The kids were always clean (or as clean as kids playing in the dirt can be), appeared to be well fed and wore clean clothes (I know they shopped at the thrift stores, I saw them sometimes when I was shopping) that fit properly. I always told myself that just because the outside was full of trash, didn’t mean the inside was. She was just too busy taking care of the children and home to deal with the large yard and all the dogshit.

Boy, was I ever wrong. The pics on the webpage are AFTER the real estate guy paid some guys to clean it up. I went over while they were cleaning up and they said I could go inside but to walk close to the walls because they weren’t sure if the floors would hold a person. One smell was enough to change my mind anyhow. I might be nosy, but I wasn’t that nosy!

But, if you go back to the pics of our old place and look at the tree in the last pic, that is the mulberry hubs and I planted in the spring of 1999. I does love me some mulberries, LOL!

It’s always good to hear from you, we want to know how you are doing. I’m sure you will outdo Julia cause you are just that good!

Just wait until you are retired! Today was a good day to get your shingles shot, you can sleep it off over the weekend if needed.

We went to the dispensary this morning and I was rather irritated because I couldn’t order online due to technical problems. While I enjoy talking to the budistas, hubs came with me because we both like to check out the freeway construction once in a while. After I did my rushed deal, we went to breakfast at a diner in Black Canyon City. I brought home leftovers which I’ll have for dinner, hubs says he’s not feeling well (doesn’t sound like food poisoning, it sounds like the flu because of course he won’t get the flu shots despite losing his parents due to the flu. Fucking dumbass.) and will be going to bed early.

That’s going to confuse GG all to heck because it will be a change in his routine. VBC will stay in the same room as me but GG really likes bedtime with people, so he won’t know which side of the house to doze in.

Nothing has happened on the other side of the fence today as far as I can tell. I looked at the plat map for the property and can’t tell if the trailer is on a concrete pad or not (sometimes it is recorded). If it is on a pad, the new place will have the same unfortunate heat producing east/west orientation.

Our first place was east/west as well, it’s just not good in this climate. While I would rather that the new place stayed where the junk one is because it won’t block as much of my view of the mountains and skies, I’m also a tree hugger and would rather the home was in the more energy efficient north/south orientation.

:notes:
Ice, ice Baby!
:notes:

And some OTC pain meds. But ice really does help.

A1c was 5.7. Very good news.

Howdy Y’all! I got shot and things got did. I’m not feelin’ too badly, but there’s definitely some ick. I shall betake myself to bed shortly. If I feel ick tomorrow I shall lay about and allow OYKW to cater to my needs. I’m all generous like that.

I read all, but retention is not there, so yays, boos, hugs, noogies, trouts, chitlins and how you doin’s around, as needed.

I like the results I get with my Instant Pot.

Happy Friday!

No park today since I had a morning doctor’s appointment. I got there very early, 920 and got out at 950. I was so pissed though, I almost walked out.
Everything went well until it was time to check out. There were three people there to check you out and all of them pretended to not see me. One got up and started making copies, the other ducked his head behind his computer and the other turned her back.
Another woman walked in and walked up to the head ducking guy and he ignored her. I told her, I have been sitting here for five minutes and all of them are ignoring me. She walked up to the other woman and knocked on the window and then she pointed at me and said I had been waiting for over five minutes and she should take me first.
I told her to go ahead since she said she just had a quick question. She took a lot longer than a minute. Finally, the copy lady came back to her desk and without even looking at me said, NEXT! She didn’t look at me the entire time. She knew GD well I had been sitting there. Fucking bitch.
I like the doctor, so I will stay. He wants to do two more procedures on my back. He said one will take 1-2 minutes, and the other is only a few minutes.
I said let me think about it, and I’m in the middle of moving so can it wait a bit. I go back in two months.

Then we went to the new house. The cable guy showed up about 10 minutes before 2 and we didn’t get out of there until 3. My son did all the irk, but I am exhausted. We didn’t take much over, but he unpacked a lot of stuff and put it away, and started on putting the sectional together.
He wanted to mow the lawn, but it rained last night and drizzled off and on today.

I’m not sorry my son is laid off. I wish he had gone for the full 9 weeks. It’s less pay than if he irks a full week, but more pay than if he works a partial week. If irk is slow and he is only going to irk partial days, I’d rather have him home doing stuff here.
I think his back is hurting because of an old mattress. He has a new mattress at the new house, he just needs to get his bed over there.

That is good news Lily

Happy sleeping and PTing Nellie

I kick the covers off my feet every night, so no pressure from blankets on my feet. I just have to stop hanging my leg over the side of the bed at night. When I do that, I wake up with a swollen foot and sore knee.

Weird dreams last night about going back in time and stealing documents. So weird.

I hope you have a dog to butler for soon, Doggio

Almost 9, and I am tired.
We will be meeting with seller friend tomorrow at 10ish and hopefully get some irk done around the house.

Evening all. The responsible thing would have been sticking to my meal plan and having my big bowl O’Salad tonight…but being responsible isn’t a whole lot of fun at times so I put on some outside clothes and went to 5 Guys for my monthly stuffing. So I am now duly stuffed and will head off to bed in a couple hours. Since I am not coaching much soccer tomorrow I will instead become Referee Man, and have signed up to do 3 games, first one starting at 8am. So Salad will be on the agenda Saturday night during College tackleball while I recuperate from chasing 8-9 years olds for 3 hours…

rocky, My left arm (flu shot) has no pain (got the shot last Friday) and the Monday COVID only hurts a little when I press it, otherwise nothing. Hope nothing more happens with yours

suzie, not a bad result on the blood sugar, hope it keeps dropping. And Japan has been on my list for awhile (been to China already). Have fun when it happens.

JtC, hope dumbass…or, hubs gets to feeling better. And yeah, I know cars are built for the long run these days, but my mind was corrupted by all those car commercials when I was but a youth so me owning a car more than 7-8 years seldom happens.

claws, kids are going to slack, I think it is part of their genome. Hope things work out.

OK, need to finish my internettin’ and be thinking about bed time. Take care all.

Date Night. We went to Bay Breeze. I had the 10-ounce New York strip, veg, & garlic mashed red potatoes, and the Spousal unit had the 5-ounce steak dip sandwich with fries. (She wanted a salad instead of fries, but she forgot.) We both had prawn cocktails to start, and two Manhattans. I could’ve finished off my mashed potatoes, but I knew I shouldn’t; so Mrs. L.A. put catsup in them and mashed them up. I didn’t have any more. Brought half of the steak home.

Bursitis put me on a cane for years. Tai chi has put my cane in the back seat of my car for just in case I need it and I rarely do anymore. I strongly agree with doing the exercises, they make a big difference.

Back when I was working, owning a car more than 7-8 years was unthinkable. I was lucky to get 5 years out of one due to driving so far up and down the mountain on a daily basis. My current car is a 2018 with 35k miles, so it looks like I’m going to match your record at least

NF dropped over yesterday to bring a couple of bags of deadfall pears for the chickens so I asked chicken guy to stop by on his way home. He didn’t come over yesterday, but did today and told us that a couple of raccoons had gotten into his chicken coop and killed one of his chickens which was sad.

His hound dawg cornered one of the raccoons and raccoon ended up dead and dog had a bloody neck. That’s when I learned that the anti-vaxxer mindset included rabies shots for house dawgs :frowning:

She’s a sweet dawg, I really hope his decision doesn’t cost her life.

Why does she hate you, LOL!!!

She was saving me from eating them all.

I know, I was joking

So the Cane managed to lose 2 hockey games t the second time, now I’m watich college handegg. I had a gin&tonic, with Bojangles seasoned catfish, smokey rice, and green beans with onion and ham.

LOL

Paula seem a little distracted today, and ignored me. But little Miss Food and Walk Motivated may have been focused on the fact that the staff member had and a leash in their pocket, and I brought zilch. I’ll go back in a couple of days to see(Gordie was an unhinged maniac the first time I said “hi” but when i went back to see him, he was merely ebullient that somebody was interested).

Yay!

Hi all!

Wordy welcome back; we always miss you. Best of luck w the layoff genie. Remembering that sometimes being a layoff survivor is a fate worse than being a layoff victim. Been there, done both, have both T-shirts to prove it. And the teeth marks in my ass; one set on the left, and the other set on the right.

In either case it’s gonna suck, so time to be looking for your personal best plan B.

FCM it’s been just under 50 miles one way to/from irk for me for a decade now. The upside in my case is making about 1 to 1-1/2 round trips per week, not 5 round trips per week. So not too stupid an annual total; just mildly stupid.

I can only say that however highly capable I was in my prime, I was her when I was her age. It’s so damned hard to deal with unpleasant adulting tasks when you’re age 15 to about 28.

Now I’m back to sucking at the mildly unpleasant or annoying or off-putting. “I shouldn’t have to” is kinda the Prime Directive.

Yaay! Best news all day.

I’m in that ballpark too. I’ve persuaded myself that’s a darn good number with little or no long-tern health risks. Just gotta keep it up for the long haul.

Yaay you!!!111!!

'Tis a tough row to hoe, but if anyone can hack it, I know it’s you. Soldier on, soldier!

Yaay Sari overall, net of some major BOOO!!!s for the doc’s shitty checkout staff.

Flyboy: that sounds like quite the date night. Well done. Woman-unit sabotaging your potatoes is mean. Probably for the best overall, but still mean.

As to me: Here a bit pre-bed time I'm back home.

Dinner out was superb, as was the yakkage. Massed quantities of wonderful everything were snarfed, the help was great, and 3-1/2 hours after we started it was time to head home. I’ll be back.

All told we had caipirinhas and a bottle of fine older St. Émilion, salads, charcuterie, a bit of carbs, and lamb, chicken, pork sausage, and a couple pounds of various Latin preparations of beef. Each. Plus cheesecake and porto and coffee. Aaaahhh!

Rolled home and am letting it all settle before trundling off to bed here soon.

My TDAP vax earlier today hurt a bunch as injected; just as the doc had predicted this morning. Per the paperwork, it’s the same 0.5ml volume as all the other vaxes, but it felt like a big thick blob o’ goo going in. Much unlike all the others.

Now not quite 12h later I can feel where it was, but there’s no discomfort, no restricted range of motion, and no systemic symptoms. Yaay me! Done w vaxing for 12-ish months.

Nap time! We’ll yak manana on the weekend. Yayy!

Cheers all!

since youre in the deep south back in the old days this was cotton pickin season …and wasn’t something that a lot of farm kids looked forward to …spring break was cotton planting season …So not the nice lil vacations we get now

Actuually I wanna go myself…all we have is big lots and various 1$+
stores

All I’ve had this week is delivery woes …ill explain later if anyone needs details…

Gorgeous almost-full moon tonight slowly meandering across a clear sky. Monkey has tentatively earned nighttime wandering privileges, as he does come back, though not necessarily right away when called. But it’ll be snowy soon enough - he might as well get exercise now.

His kibble bowl is currently empty, and I guarantee he’ll hear that being refilled, so I’m saving that trick for later.

I’m snacking on Chex Mix (okay, picking out the bits I like - the rest will go out for the squirrels, if the local possum doesn’t find it all first) and dinner is in the oven.
My old bestie said she wanted to chat tonight but seems to be MIA. Or busy with the bathtub leak that developed last night. :face_with_peeking_eye:

So chillage reigns supreme at Casa Del Shoe tonight.

Monkey has returned, in case anyone was worried, and is perched on the back of my papazan & purring in my ear, having savored his Squeezy-Crack reward for coming back home.

My baked chicken Kiev was yum, and was augmented by whomp biscuits and a nice hot cuppa, plus some vitamins cuz damn is that a nutritionally bereft meal. But filling!

One single candle burns, and Mr. Sandman has just shown up. I put away most of my clean laundry earlier, and even unpacked some random basement crap last night, so I am content in my relative non-slackerdom.

Time to burrow under the blankets.

ETA: I also hung a fresh ~joint tube~ toothbrush holder yesterday & installed a fresh 'brush into it, so there’s that, too.

Up, caffeinated, and sheveled. Off to heave. It’s my Firday!
