At 67, and never having had a bunion, I’d like to know, from people who have had them, how they started. I have a really sore spot on my foot, not specifically at the side of the big toe where you’d expect a bunion to be, but more at the top of that area. It rubs on all my shoes and can get quite sore. So how does a bunion start? Is this a baby bunion bud? Can I stop this from happening? A friend said I should wear those pedicure toe-separator things to bed-I can’t see that making sense. I just hate the thought of some expensive surgery and recovery at my age.
