The window guys 2 weeks ago laid the windows down on my front lawn and now there are two window shaped yellow burned patches where the glass was! Looks like straw right down to the ground, nothing seems to be growing through. I have to say, that lawn is 90% weeds and crabgrass anyway. It seems like a no-brainer to fix this, but has this ever happened to anyone’s lawn and what did you do about it?
Where do you live? Is the spot in the sun? Warm or cool season grass?
If the rest of the lawn is mostly weeds and crabgrass anyway, I would just let those move in rather than putting any effort into it. Down here in NC a patch I tried to fix by planting some seed in late April has already succumbed to the heat. Trying to plant any additional grass down here would be pointless. Fall is the best time for seeding grass.
Southern exposure, Upstate NY. I suppose it’ll eventually get overgrown by the rest of the grass.
Easy way to fix it – pour on some Scotts Ez Seed and water it for a week or so. The stuff is actually pretty good.
