Bury cat scat?

Every cat we have had or known pretty instinctively buried their droppings and covered their urine.

We enjoy bobcats walking by our house all the time, but I can’t help but notice that they shit and scat, not even covering it with the desert sand.

Do any of the cat family, other than domestic cats, do this? For the life of me I could not think how to pose this question for Google.

Not burying scat is a territory marking behavior. A friend of mine has a male cat who refuses to bury his scat in the litter box as a way of expressing dominance over the other two cats.

My current cat has never buried his stuff. And until he became geriatric, he had been very dominant.
