Burzynski's cure for AIDS and MS

Stan Burzynski claims he can cure patients with cancer, HIV/AIDS and MS by using their urine, and having these poor souls inject the “purified stuff” into an IV or take a pill form.

Of course I think it is a crock, but I’d like some articles criticizing the guy and just why this Urine Cure won’t work.

Any ideas?

I remember seeing a TV segment on Burzynski where it was shown that he makes these astounding claims about the success of his treatments, yet refuses to give enough details for them to be independently tested. His excuse is that he has a proprietary (read monetary) interest in keeping his techniques secret. His detractors say the reason he will not release details is that if he did it would be easy for an independent researcher to prove that he’s a fraud.

To take a phrase from Amazon Women on the Moon:

Sounds like bullshit to me.

We had the topic of urine drinking here in GQ before, though I don’t think we mentioned Burzynski specifically.
