Well, ok, aluminum, and not exacly foil-like thickness, as investigators estimate a weight of more than 600 pounds. I can’t say I can determine any meaning to this whatsoever,
Truely mundane and pointless, and one more reason I love the Internet.

Six. HUNDRED. Pounds.
Of Aluminum.
GLUED to the bus roof.
For no apparent reason.
You’re right… this is beyond bizarre.
I, for one, would very much like to see this guy’s toxicology report!
This site has some footage from a NTSB news conference regarding that bus.
According to this link, the bus had been in a previous accident and the roof was damaged, so this “extra” aluminum was the replacement roof. Obviously not a quality job.
Oh how I hate Mike Matthews. He’s looking more and more like an evil gnome, and he’s perhaps the worst reporter we’ve ever had on Memphis tv. So is it just an evil coincidence that the commercial that played before I could watch the clip was for All Metal Roofing systems? :dubious:

Just another bad bus toupe.
