At least, I think it’s supposed to be an honor, according to the discoverers. But it does seem appropriate that these are slime mold beetles.
Yes, I at first assumed it was anything other than an honour, but the guys do seem to be serious about that.

Hey, we probably had an Agathidium bushi in the back yard, the area under the tree that never quite dries up and gets slimes of various descriptions developing there. There were five beetles converging on it; they were probably V Dubya beetles.
